A brief history of greengauges and it's founders
Greengauges was formed in July 2000 specifically to address the speciality automotive market, using the interactive benefits of the internet, to enable the end user to design a custom look for his project vehicle. It utilises the technical and manufacturing skills of the most experienced gauge maker in the world to offer a wide range of race proven instruments, with unprecedented levels of customisation available to the on-line gauge designer.
Greengauges
has the technical and manufacturing support of Caerbont Automotive
(CAI). CAI was formed in 1993 by a management buyout of a VDO subsidiary, but it's roots are founded in the 19th Century, when the Company was then known as the Smiths Instrument Company. Smiths went on to become the supplier of choice to the great British Sports Cars of the 50s,60s and 70s, marques such as Jaguar, MG and Triumph.
Greengauge
orders are filled by Speedy Cables Ltd who are a member of the Caerbont Automotive family. Speedy Cables are a long established company in the automotive industry and have been in business for over 50 years.
